Description
Mastering Gauntlet S
This handling modification refines the Gauntlet S handling to be less arcade-like. **Requirements:** This handling mod requires the original Gauntlet S vehicle to function correctly. Alternatively, it can be used with VWE (Vanillaworks Extended). Refer to the installation instructions below for specific details. **Features:** - More balanced grip (reduced) - More responsive suspension (softer, slight rebound) - Reduced braking power Overall, this mod aims to provide a more realistic driving experience while retaining some of GTA's signature handling characteristics. If you prefer increased grip, open the "handling.meta" file and modify the "fTractionCurveMin" and "fTractionCurveMax" values from 1.4 to 1.9. This adjustment will result in a handling style more typical of GTA games. **Installation:** 1. Navigate to *Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\gauntlets\dlc.rpf\data* using OpenIV. 2. Replace the existing "handling.meta" file with the one provided in this mod. **For Users of VWE 2.3 and above:** Remember that Vanillaworks Extended pack 2.3 already includes the Gauntlet S vehicle. You can use the same "handling.meta" file to modify the Gauntlet S within VWE, but follow these additional steps: 1. Rename the "GAUNTLETS" modelname within "handling.meta" to "GAUNTLET5". 2. Open *Grand Theft Auto V\ mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\vwe\dlc.rpf\common\data\handling.meta*. There will be a "GAUNTLET5" handling item present. 3. Remove the entire "GAUNTLET5" handling item from this file, including the lines starting with *type="CHandlingData"* and ending with */Item*. 4. Copy the modified "GAUNTLET5" handling item from the downloaded "handling.meta" file into the space where you removed the original one. Alternatively, you can paste the copied "GAUNTLET5" handling item into *Grand Theft Auto V\mods\update\update.rpf\common\data\handling.meta*, which will override VWE's existing settings.First Upload: November 14, 2024 Last Updated: November 14, 2024
