Basic Needs for Sustenance


This mod allows you to purchase food and drinks from stores in order to manage your hunger and thirst. While there are other mods with similar functionality, many seem to be outdated.

Bugs

1. Hunger and thirst levels won't decrease after sleeping.

Keybindings

You can customize key bindings within the INI file. Default inventory menu = F6 Default settings menu = F11 CONTROLLER SUPPORT WILL BE AVAILABLE IN THE NEXT VERSION

Potential addition of fast-food establishments, etc. You can modify the settings in the INI file located at: gtav > scripts > HungerAndThirst > Settings > Hunger and thirst.ini

Installation

Copy and paste both the folder and file into your gtav scripts directory.

1. Fixed a bug that allowed opening the buy menu at any time with a controller. 2. Implemented individual fill values for each item, so items like burgers provide more satiation than candy. 3. Enabled customization of fill values for each item within the INI file. 4. Added functionality to enable/disable store markers on the map. 5. Improved INI file readability.

V1.2

1. Resolved an issue where old fill values were displayed instead of custom ones. 2. Introduced a new drink, Sprunk. 3. Implemented customizable health damage in the INI file. 4. Enabled customization of prices in the INI file. This feature allows compatibility with MP Peds (LSPDFR should also function). 5. Added customizable UI positions. 6. Swapped the positions of hunger and thirst bars so that the hunger bar appears at the top. 7. Cleaned up the INI file.

V2.0 (BIG UPDATE)

1. Replaced the old UI with a new one. Instead of bars, "hunger" and "thirst" text changes color based on levels. 2. Upgraded from NativeUI to LemonUI. 3. Upgraded from scripthookvdotnet2 to scripthookvdotnet3. 4. Implemented visibility of only food and drink options when the player possesses those specific items. 5. Removed the "check pockets" option, as it was a workaround for NativeUI limitations. Now, players see their quantity of specific food or drinks within the menu itself. 6. Added a settings menu for positioning hunger and thirst text to desired in-game locations (positions are saved). 7. Included additional customizable options in the settings menu (all settings are saved in the INI). 8. Temporarily removed controller support. This update addresses critical issues with V1.2. Controller support will be reintroduced in V2.1 with customizable keybindings. 9. To prevent continuous death loops when starving damage is high, hunger and thirst are now refilled upon death. 10. Performed minor script cleanup.
