M24 Sniper Weapon System Upgrade 1.0
Sniper RifleDescription
M24 Sniper Weapon System Upgrade
The U.S. Army adopted the Remington 700 bolt-action rifle as its standard sniper rifle in 1988, designating it the M24 SWS (Sniper Weapon System). The U.S. Marine Corps uses a different variant of the Remington 700 called the M40. The main difference between the Army's M24 and the Marines' M40 is that the M24 has a modified bolt allowing it to fire more powerful rounds.
