Gunshot Noise

This is my first pistol sound. While I haven't spent a lot of time on it, I hope you enjoy it nonetheless. I plan to update it tomorrow as I know it's not the most realistic sound yet.

My goal is to create the best sound according to my own preferences. I will continue to update the description with changelogs and other relevant information.

Installation Instructions

STEP 1

Navigate to mods\x64\audio\sfx\resident.rpf

STEP 2

Right-click weapons.awc and select "Export to openFormats (.oac)". Choose your desktop as the save location. You should get a folder containing a file called "weapons" and "weapons.oac".

STEP 3

Open the weapons folder, drag and drop the PTL_PISTOL_SHOT.R file into it. Close the folder and then drag and drop the weapons.oac folder into weapon.awc.

STEP 4

Navigate to mods\x64\audio\sfx\weapons_player.rpf

STEP 5

Right-click on ptl_pistol.awc and select "Export to openFormats (.oac)". Choose your desktop as the save location. Open the ptl_pistol folder, then drag and drop the PTL_PISTOL_SHOT.L file into it, replacing the existing file.

STEP 6

Drag and drop the ptl_pistol.oac file into OpenIV's ptl_pistol.awc. You should now be done!
