Deactivate Weapon Acquisition

This mod disables the ability to pick up weapons, preventing you from acquiring unwanted firearms. You will still be able to collect ammo and Molotov cocktails.

To initially remove all weapons, please use Endeavor Mod Menu (F3 > Online Players > playername > Take All Weapons) or Remove Unwanted Weapons [LUA].

Installation

Requires OpenIV.

1. Create a backup of update.rpf (located in Grand Theft Auto V\update\).
2. Install and open OpenIV.
3. Go to update\update.rpf\common\data\
4. Enable edit mode (F6 or button).
5. Move pickups.meta into OpenIV.
6. Rebuild archive (Shift+Ctrl+R or File > Rebuild).
