YF-22 Raptor Expansion
The YF-22 was one of two aircraft competing in the USAF's Advanced Tactical Fighter (ATF) program, which ultimately led to the F-22 Raptor. This modification features the winning design from that competition, the YF-22. While it evolved into the F-22 Raptor, its appearance differs significantly.
This mod includes functional weapon bays, operational flaps and landing gear, as well as all control surfaces, including thrust vectoring nozzles. A detailed cockpit with working instruments is also included. Proper Levels of Detail (LODs) and Collision mesh are implemented for optimal game performance.
Textures encompass the prototype color scheme and a fictional USAF splinter camouflage pattern. Custom weapon settings and models are also included but are disabled by default to avoid potential crashes due to incompatible game configurations. Instructions on enabling these features are provided within the readme file.
Please note: The model quality is not as high as that of the YF-23 (except for the cockpit) due to limited reference materials available for this aircraft.
