Titan Operational Procedures
This document outlines procedures for operating the TITAN aircraft.
Important Notes
- The TITAN's landing gear design can sometimes result in explosions during takeoff if obstacles are near the tail. This is intentional and can be mitigated by adjusting the
fDeformationDamageMult
andfCollisionDamageMult
values lower in the aircraft's .meta file.
Aircraft Description
Modeled after the C130H, the TITAN is a robust turbo-prop transport plane capable of operating in challenging environments. Its strong braking system and relatively quick acceleration make it highly versatile for various missions, including deploying tactical teams from high altitudes or delivering cargo for resupply.
Landing Procedures
As with other aircraft, flaring technique is crucial for smooth landings. During your final approach, reduce speed and pitch angle to zero. Adjusting the pitch angle will influence your glideslope: increasing it steepens the descent, while decreasing it results in a faster drop. Combine this with variable thrust control for precise landings.
Changelog
- Version 6 introduces crosswind handling capabilities (hypothetically) and improves ground taxiing and aerial yaw control. Slight suspension adjustments have been made for more realistic shock absorption.
