SOFIA Airborne Observatory: Boeing 747 Expansion Pack

The Stratospheric Observatory For Infrared Astronomy (SOFIA) is based on a Boeing 747SP, a shorter version of the first generation 747. This mod features an openable hatch in the rear fuselage to reveal the large telescope mounted inside. This aircraft is a unique conversion compared to other 747s available. It includes illuminated windows at night, an operational main door, and a detailed cockpit with functional gauges.

This mod is an Add-On!

This is one of several planned 747 versions. Future versions may include a standard 747SP, a Laser weapon version, or the modern 747-8i.

The creator is eager to release more aircraft (military and civilian), helicopters, and military vehicles. Donations are welcome to help support their modding efforts (ZM3, model files, etc.).
