Revitalizing Your Vehicle's Horn System

As we all know, the developers of GTA V overlooked several aspects during development. This is evident in the limited variety of vehicle horns compared to its predecessor. Instead of investing time and effort into creating a diverse and enjoyable horn experience, they opted for the simplest solution: assigning short lists of horns across all vehicles, thereby eliminating any sense of individuality or character. However, this modification significantly enhances your horn-pressing experience by providing nearly every vehicle with a unique, personalized sound, free from randomizations. Most of the horn configurations are carried over from GTA IV. However, due to the extensive number of vehicles in the game, a substantial portion of horns were created specifically for this mod. Please note that many DLC vehicles are currently unsupported. This may change in a future update if there is sufficient demand. A document detailing the assigned horns and their corresponding vehicles is available. It also includes a video previewing some of the horns.

Installation Tutorial

1. Open OpenIV and navigate to the "mods" folder (create one if it doesn't exist). 2. Go to "mods\update\x64\dlcpacks". 3. Paste the "vehiclehorn" folder into the "dlcpacks" folder. 4. Locate "dlclist.xml" in "update\update.rpf\common\data" and select either "move to mods folder" or "show in mods folder" if it has already been moved. 5. Add "dlcpacks:\vehiclehorn" to the list in the dlclist.xml. **Happy honking! **
