Mastering the Devil Z: YCA-y97y's Fairlady Z Driving Techniques
I felt the car's original handling wasn't quite right, and there weren't any existing "Devil Z"-style handling options available. So I created three new handling lines to give the car a higher top speed, faster acceleration, slipperier handling, and make it generally harder to control. Here are the performance details for each handling line: * **Handling #1:** 0 - 60 MPH in roughly 3.3 seconds, 195 MPH top speed * **Handling #2:** 0 - 60 MPH in roughly 2.8 seconds, 220 MPH top speed (shown in preview videos) * **Handling #3:** 0 - 60 MPH in roughly 2.1 seconds, 265 MPH top speed This mod also includes a global.gxt2 file that changes the car's name to "Devil Z" for added authenticity.INSTALLATION
1. Launch OpenIV and enable Edit Mode. Navigate to: update > x64 > dlcpacks > s30 > dlc.rpf > data, then replace the handling.meta file with one of the three provided handling lines. 2. For the global.gxt2 file, follow a similar path: dlc.rpf > x64 > data > lang > americandlc.rpf, and replace the existing global.gxt2 file with the one included in this mod.OTHER MODS USED IN PREVIEW VIDEO
* I'm Not MentaL's Initial D Speedometer * Hippy's Nissan Skyline GT-R R34 Engine SoundCHANGELOG:
**v1.03.1:** Even less tire grip, more burnout **v1.03:** *Way* less tire grip, resulting in more sliding during turns along with the extreme oversteer. Fixed the car's name displaying as "Nissan Nissan Devil Z". Increased anti-roll bar force. Slightly lowered brake force. Strengthened the suspension. Increased Steering Lock from 20 to 25. More burnout. **v1.02.2:** Even less acceleration, roughly the same top speed, and lowered SteeringLock from 40 to 20. **v1.02.1:** Less acceleration, same top speed as v1.02. **v1.02:** This version is a significant update and offers the most extreme handling experience. Even faster acceleration but with a lower top speed of around 265 MPH (you can increase the top speed by editing the fInitialDragCoeff value in the handling file from 6.66 to a lower number). Less stability, more oversteer, more sliding, and a greater challenge to control at high speeds. Increasing TractionCurveMax also makes braking stronger, but I chose not to nerf BrakeForce because it would likely make the car too undrivable. Feel free to adjust BrakeForce yourself if you find it too strong. **v1.01:** Less brake force, slightly more burnout. Added a global.gxt2 file to change the car's name to "Devil Z" for added authenticity.First Upload: November 14, 2024 Last Updated: November 14, 2024
