Description

Enhanced Freight: Double-Stacked Containers for Vanilla & Overhauled Trains

This is my second mod using Zmodeler3. It's far from perfect since I'm still learning, but this is a good starting point and updated versions are planned.

The mod adds double-stacked containers on a flat car with changing liveries.

For vehicles with livery support, you can have up to 25 liveries per model. Feel free to get into the texture files (located in the mod's directory) and create some of your own.

If you are good with textures and would like to add your own, please do so! I will add them and credit you for the textures.

My models are not locked; you may edit them if you can improve them. Just please credit me for my work. Let me know what you did because I am still learning Zmodeler3.

You can add these models to your own mod, just please credit me and let me know.

These models are edited and remapped from the vanilla Rockstar models. They have been tested in-game for long periods of time using the Overhauled Trains mod. I haven't noticed any memory crashing or random desktop crashing (beyond what I normally get).

These models are using 1024x1024 textures for the boxes. It's possible you can reduce them to 512 and still have them look fine (to reduce memory hits on the game).

The models are complete, including LODs and COL.

Rockstar's maps in many places are not tall enough for doubles to fit properly. Therefore, the top box DOES NOT have a COL file. This means the box won't get bumped off by low bridges or hit things on top of bridges like cars or pedestrians. It also keeps the model size down and prevents collisions from crashing the game.

Instructions for installation and replacement are included in the zip file.

VERSION 2: Lots of fixes to the texture map to improve areas where some textures were showing backwards.

VERSION 3 (once approved): Remapped the boxes to remove the old livery layer that was messing up the weathering and dirt patterns.
