Authentic Vehicle Collision Effects

This file changes the amount of damage your vehicle takes, making car collisions more realistic.

It's a small standalone package that includes one file and can be installed in approximately 5 minutes. You only need Grand Theft Auto 5 with the latest patch for it to work. No additional plugins like LSPDFR or RagePluginHook are required.

INSTALLATION

1. Open OpenIV.
2. Click EDIT MODE
3. Go to your handling.meta file located at update\update.rpf\common\date.
4. Make a backup of your handling.meta.
5. Drag and drop the new handling.meta you just downloaded into OpenIV (make sure to unzip the file first).

Note: Unzip the file before dragging it into OpenIV. Dragging the zipped file directly will cause your game to crash.

I can edit your handling.meta for you if needed. Just send me a message with it. If this mod is too realistic, I may consider creating a less intense version.

6. Click back on EDIT MODE to save, then close OpenIV.

Additional Information

This mod only affects car accident damage and doesn't change any vehicle handling. It works well with RagePluginHook 47 , GTA 5 1.0.877.1 patch, LSPDFR, and Captain 14's LSPD new Pack.

This is a temporary fix until Killatomate finishes updating his Realistic Driving V mod. Credit goes to Killatomate for their work on the original mod.
