About this program:
This quick cache cleaner for GTA 5 deletes appdata, Social Club cache files, and system temp files.
It's the updated version of a batch script I uploaded a year ago on gta5-hub.com; it inspired me to learn programming!
Q&A:
- Why should I clean GTA 5's cache?
Grand Theft Auto V crashes sometimes due to corrupted temporary files. Cache cleaning is Rockstar Support’s recommended solution. This program lets you delete all the necessary files and directories with one click, instead of manually deleting:
"Documents\Rockstar Games\Social Club\*.*" "Username\AppData\Local\Rockstar Games\GTA V\*.*" "Username\AppData\Local\Temp\*.*" - Why use this version over the old batch file?
This version shows the exclusion progress and a log of runtime errors, which wasn't possible with the .bat script.
NOTE: To download the old .bat version (version 0.5), click here.
Changelog:
VERSION 1.2 The script was rebuilt in CSharp; you now have a progress bar and a quick file deletion log while scanning.
0.5 - Added three "success & error" messages for each process: [error // success] SC folder was NOT deleted // SC deleted => Referring to the Social Club folder exclusion; Cache was not completely deleted // GTA V folder's clean => Referring to the appdata's GTA V folder exclusion; TEMP files NOT deleted // TEMP's clean => Referring to the Temporary cloud files exclusion.
0.2 - Added the function to delete Cloud cache from the "Temp" Directory, as suggested by MRxSNIPES2.
