SCP-370 is an object, classified as a key. The exact details regarding its size, shape, material composition, and general appearance are unknown and have been suppressed to prevent the spread of the associated disease.

The disease caused by SCP-370 manifests in three distinct stages: SCP-370-a, b, and c. The specific form an individual develops appears to be influenced primarily by their personality.

Subjects infected with SCP-370-b initially experience a period of extreme calmness. This stage lasts for several seconds, followed by a sudden and unprovoked assault on anyone within reach. The attack escalates into a indiscriminate killing spree. Victims killed by the infected subject will glow brightly and undergo an unknown transformation.

Initially, the infected subject poses no greater threat than a violent individual. However, after approximately two to three kills, their body begins to radiate yellow light. This light inhibits the sympathetic nervous response in victims, making it difficult for them to fight back. After five to six successful kills, the light triples in intensity, and direct skin-to-skin contact with the subject becomes lethal. At this point, any eye contact with a victim also becomes a contagious factor.

After killing an average of twelve victims (subjects who were already violent may require fifty kills), the infected subject abruptly ceases hostilities and enters the final phase of SCP-370-b infection. They raise their arms skyward and shout "[DATA DELETED] take me home!" in a slightly amplified voice. This sound penetrates soundproof walls and industrial strength earmuffs with minimal muffling. Infection is virtually guaranteed for all humans within earshot, except those who are deaf. Following the cry, a shaft of radiation forms around the subject, who then levitates several feet above the ground before [REDACTED] and vanishing. As with SCP-370-a, no trace of the vanished subjects has ever been found.
