Modernizing Police Headwear
Following a recent outbreak of lice affecting law enforcement personnel in Los Santos and Blaine County, the use of campaign and cowboy hats was temporarily suspended. After treatment with prescribed medications, the infestation has subsided, and deputies are now cleared to resume wearing their caps.
This update extends beyond the county, representing a comprehensive overhaul of law enforcement headwear. Both male and female deputies will now wear their hats. Additionally, the LSPD female hat has been removed, and day/night rules for sunglasses have been adjusted. During daylight hours, some officers may be seen wearing sunglasses. At night, eyewear will be limited to raised or "back of head" styles (if worn at all). These changes also apply to the Highway Patrol.
