Before the true patent leather version debuted in 2001, the Air Jordan 11 Low IE was the original low-top version of the shoe. While it shares the same tooling as the mid-top, the shoe's upper is fully redesigned, featuring full-grain leather construction with mesh vents and elephant print overlays. The meaning behind 'IE' has been debated for years, though Nike's Gentry Humphrey once said it stands for 'International Exclusive.'
