Who are the CAT?

The Close Protection Team (CAT) is responsible for the safety and security of the Turkish Prime Minister and their family. They protect them from all potential threats and attacks. CAT personnel are selected from the ranks of special operations police officers. They are also responsible for accompanying the Prime Minister on foreign trips.
