A Little History of These Aircraft:

PP-PDT

It was initially intended for PAM AM but ended up being transferred to PANAIR on March 21, 1961. Tragically, on August 20, 1962, it suffered an accident resulting in the aircraft sinking. While it floated for 25 minutes, 13 people lost their lives.

PP-PDS

Delivered to PANAIR in March 1961, this aircraft was later leased by VARIG from PANAIR's bankrupt estate. It remained operational until 1975 and spent two years in Porto Alegre awaiting a buyer. Subsequently, it was acquired by AIR VIAS but suffered an accident in Turkey while operated by Export Air Cargo. The aircraft was ultimately cannibalized and abandoned.

PP-BEM

Delivered to BETA in January 2008, this aircraft remained operational until 2010 before being abandoned in Manaus, where it still sits today.

PP-SOP

Delivered to VASP in September 2001, this aircraft operated until 1992 and was demolished in 2004. Interestingly, it successfully landed at Congonhas Airport, becoming the second-longest aircraft (after a TAM A330) to do so.
