ABOUT MOBILE SECURITY GUARDS IN STOCKHOLM
In Stockholm, there are special teams of security guards who work on behalf of the city. The security guards are mobile and can be present at unsafe locations as needed for safety purposes and serve as a complement to police presence.

The primary task of the security guards is to create a sense of security through visibility, contact-creating dialogue, preventative measures, advice and instructions, and general information in public places in the city. To a certain extent, the security guards perform external supervision of municipal properties.

If the security guards detect an ongoing disturbance or a crime in progress, they can intervene by rejecting, removing, or detaining the person.
