Custom MQ-9 Paint Schemes: A Global Collection for SkylineGTRFreak
Liveries designed specifically for SkylineGTRFreak's MQ-9 Reaper Drone. Please note that the Japanese paint scheme doesn't accurately reflect real-world markings, and a suitable reference image for India was unavailable. Therefore, the Indian livery color was replicated from other Indian Air Force aircraft.
These MQ-9 liveries are compatible with the ZF1 pack (the paint also works for the standalone MQ-9). While it's assumed that anyone modding paint schemes has downloaded the 140 plane compilation.
Paint options include designs representing Canada, France, India, Italy, Japan, NASA, Netherlands, RAF, Spain, USAF, and US Marines.
After installation following their instructions, open the dlc.rpf with OpenIV.
Navigate to the following file path for overwriting:
...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/ZF1/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/mq9.ytd
or, for the standalone MQ-9:
...\GTAV\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\mq9\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\mq1vehicles.rpf\mq9.ytd
To preserve the original liveries, extract the mq9.ytd file using OpenIV while in the appropriate directory. Typically, I extract the original .ytd to the same folder as the dlc.rpf and rename it to origmq9.ytd.
Once you've chosen a livery, rename the predator.dds file within the .ytd (e.g., predatororig), then rename your desired livery file (e.g., predatorCanada) to predator.
...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/ZF1/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/mq9.ytd
for the standalone MQ-9:
...\GTAV\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\mq9\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\mq1vehicles.rpf\mq9.ytd
To confirm the livery, open the OpenIV Model Viewer by clicking on the mq9.yft or mq9_hi.yft file.
Once satisfied, close the model viewer and launch GTAV. Spawn the MQ-9 using your preferred trainer.
My work files are included in case you wish to create your own paint schemes.
Enjoy,
Gillman
