Color Schemes for KJ2000/Beriev A-50 Aircraft of India, Iran, PLAAF, and Russia
Additional paint options are available for the KJ2000 to represent aircraft from India, Iran, the PLAAF, and Russia. These paints are compatible with the KJ2000 in the ZF1 pack, the standalone KJ2000, or the Pakistan Air Force Pack.
Once you have installed these packs according to their instructions, open the dlc.rpf file using OpenIV.
Follow this path to locate the file for overwriting:
- ...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/ZF1/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/kj2000.ytd
- ...\GTAV\mods\update\x64\dlcpacks\pakistanair\dlc.rpf\x64\levels\gta5\vehicles\pakistanair.rpf\kj2000.ytd
While the KJ2000 appears to support multiple liveries, this functionality doesn't currently work. Therefore, you can only use one paint scheme at a time.
If you want to keep the original liveries, extract the kj2000.ytd file while in OpenIV. Typically, I extract the original .ytd to the same folder as the dlc.rpf and rename it to origkj2000.ytd.
To select a new paint scheme, open kj2000.ytd and rename il76_sign_1 to something like il76_sign_1Orig. Then, choose the desired paint, for example, il76_sign_Russia, and rename it to il76_sign_1. Save the .ytd file.
To confirm the livery, click on the kj2000.yft or kj2000_hi.yft file to open the OpenIV Model Viewer and see how the model will look with the new livery.
Once satisfied, close the model viewer and launch GTAV, spawning a globe using your preferred trainer.
If you wish to create your own paint scheme, I have included my work file as a starting point.
