Color Schemes and Markings for the H-6K Bomber
For The GTAV Xian H-6K from SkylineGTRFreak. This mod, while not an exact replica of the TU-16 Badger, is close enough to utilize TU-16 liveries. My texture toolkit unfortunately crashed when I attempted to add liveries in the original 4k format, forcing me to reduce the size of the original.dds file. Nevertheless, included are liveries representing Indonesia (circa early to mid 1960's), the USSR in bare metal, the Egyptian Air Force (circa 1973), and the Iraq Air Force from the early 1980's. Deciphering the .dds file took approximately three days, allowing me to apply camo schemes and approximate a glass nose effect.
Once installed according to SkylineGTRFreak's instructions, open the dlc.rpf with OpenIV and follow this path to overwrite:
...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/h6k/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/h6k.ytd
If you wish to retain the original livery, extract the file h6k.ytd from OpenIV and rename it to origh6k.ytd in the same folder as the dlc.rpf.
To overwrite and apply alternative H-6k/TU-16 liveries, toggle "Edit mode" (top right button) in OpenIV, then drag h6k.ytd from the extracted zip file and drop it here:
...GTAV/mods/update/x64/dlcpacks/h6k/dlc.rpf/x64/levels/gta5/vehicles.rpf/h6k.ytd
Confirm the livery by clicking on the h6k.yft file to open the OpenIV Model Viewer and visualize the model with the new livery.
Close the model viewer, launch GTAV, spawn the h6k using your preferred trainer, and cycle through the liveries.
Remember: each .ytd file within its folder has the named livery identified as 'h6ktexture' inside the .ytd file. Enjoy!
