A little history of these aircraft.
PP-VME: The first Boeing 737-200 received by varig was the previous PP-VME from the factory in seattle, USA, arriving in Brazil in November 1974, in 2001 the PP-VME was rented by the national company, returning to varig in 2002, where in 2004 he was returned and later operated for RICO.
VC-96: There were two 737-200 operated by the Brazilian Air Force, acquired in 1976, registered 2115 and 2116, operated for 34 years, where in 2011 the aircraft with registration 2116 was donated to MUSAL in Rio de Janeiro, being put on display in 2012.
PP-CJO: It was operated by Cruzeiro, where even after the purchase by Varig in 1975, it continued to be operated until 1998, when they began to be returned.
PT-MTF: The company went bankrupt in 2010, but its planes are abandoned at the airport in Fortaleza, even in 2021 it is still possible to see these aircraft.
PR-MTH: is stored.
TF-ELL: Received this 737-200 in 2005, but in 2006 the company went bankrupt and after that it was scrapped.
PP-VME: It was received by RICO in 2004 where it operated until 2007, in 2010 the company went bankrupt and after that it was abandoned.
PP-SMA: It was the first jet received in South America and the first by vasp, where on July 18, 1969 it skimmed in congonhas, flying until 2004, being grounded, being abandoned at Confins Airport, where after much back and forth it was sent to Lagoa Santa in November 2019 where it will be part of a National Market.
PP-SMC: It was one of the first 737 that vasp received in 1969, flying until 2004 , being paralyzed for reaching the limit of pressurization cycles, being sold in 2012, where it is parking at the Apoio Mineiro supermarket in Contagem/MG.
PP-SMH: After having been abandoned at the Brasília airport, it was acquired and transferred to Itapejara do Oeste-PR, Brazil, being restored and is now used as an exhibition. And he's the only one where the engines and lights work, but he doesn't fly.
