Black Lives Matter (BLM) is an international human rights movement that originated in the African-American community and campaigns against violence and systemic racism towards black people. BLM regularly organizes protests to speak out against police killings of black people, as well as broader issues such as racial profiling, police brutality, and racial inequality within the United States criminal justice system.
