Virtual vehicles appear organically within traffic flow online 0.4
Environment ConfigDescription
Virtual vehicles appear organically within traffic flow online
This modification enables online cars to spawn naturally in traffic, aligning with their characteristics (e.g., off-road cars appearing in desert areas, expensive cars spawning in downtown locations).
Technically, it's not a full-fledged mod but rather a minor file adjustment that anyone can perform, although the process is tedious and repetitive.
GTA Online version 1.68 installed is strongly recommended.
Bugs and features:
After launching the game, it may take a few seconds for new cars to appear. Simply drive around a block, and they will materialize shortly.
If you remain in an area for an extended period, the game might spawn a large number of identical vehicles repeatedly. This modification only alters which cars spawn in specific locations. Rockstar stores these parameters in files named "vehicles.meta" and "vehiclemodelsets.meta".
To mitigate this issue, edit the "settings.xml" file located in "Documents > Rockstar Games > GTA V" and change the value of "VehicleVarietyMultiplier" from 1.0 to 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, or 1.5. Note that adjusting this value will slightly increase the game's video memory usage.
Installation:
ALWAYS BACK UP YOUR FILES BEFORE REPLACING. You'll need OpenIV. Copy the "popgroups.ymt" file from the archive to your "Grand Theft Auto V > mods > update > update.rpf > x64 > levels > gta5" directory and replace the original file.
Notes:
- Some online cars may spawn with identical colors (primarily black or unusual shades). Rockstar configures these vehicles in a single color as they are not intended to be spawned within the city (they can only be purchased).
- The archive includes a file listing the added cars and their categories. Excluded vehicles include those with unrealistic capabilities, movie-based cars, and the four vehicles owned by the protagonists.
- If cars disappear when you approach them, download sjaak327 Simple Trainer and the issue should resolve.
