Vintage CRT Aesthetic

Ever wanted to experience GTA 5 on a vintage PC from the mid-90s? This preset transforms your game into a retro 8-bit nightmare, making it almost unplayable. It's perfect for those who love a touch of nostalgic grit.

Works with both NVE and Vanilla.

Requirements

• ReShade - Required
• NVE - Optional

• Added optional bit sizes ranging from 8-32 bits (note: these don't represent real-life bit sizes).
• Screenshots were taken using NVE, but the game will look pixelated regardless.

Installation

Install the "DirtyCRT" preset file into your main GTA 5 directory or ReShade folder. Then, activate the preset through the ReShade settings.

Please note that this is a work in progress and will be improved further.

Known Issues

• The minimap, HUD, menus, and other elements may be difficult to see due to the CRT and pixilation effects. Character facial features will also become distorted.
• To remove the CRT effect while keeping the pixel style, simply turn off the “DirtyCRT.efx” effect in the ReShade settings.
