Screeching Tire Noise

This mod replaces the in-game tire screech/skid sound with a more realistic alternative. You have the option to install one of two versions, each featuring a distinct sound. Choose whichever version best suits your preference.

Important: Before proceeding with the installation, it is highly recommended to back up your game files in case you wish to revert to the original settings or encounter any issues after applying the mod.

Installation Guide

1. Open OpenIV.
2. Navigate to the following path within OpenIV: "Grand Theft Auto V/X64/AUDIO/SFX/RESIDENT.RPF"
3. Locate "Vehicles.awc" and right-click on it. Select "export to openFormats".
4. Export the file to your desktop or any other empty folder.
5. Drag all the files from the .zip file into the exported "vehicles" folder and replace existing files.
6. Drag "vehicles.oac" from the modified folder back into OpenIV. Place it in either of the following paths:
   • "Grand Theft Auto V/X64/AUDIO/SFX/RESIDENT.RPF"
   • "Grand Theft Auto V/MODS/X64/AUDIO/SFX/RESIDENT.RPF" (preferred)
7. Launch the game and enjoy the enhanced tire sounds!
