Description

Realistic Character Lighting with Subsurface Scattering and Global Illumination

This mod enhances the appearance of NPCs (pedestrians and non-player characters) by incorporating subsurface scattering, indirect lighting, and global illumination techniques. It addresses the game's original lighting shortcomings, resulting in more accurate and realistic illumination for NPCs, similar to modern games.

To use this mod: 1. Copy all files into the game installation folder. 2. Use Shift + F11 keys to toggle the effects on and off.

For NPC appearances resembling the screenshots, install the NVE-QuantV mods. Install NVE first, followed by QuantV, and finally this mod's files.

This mod utilizes Boris Vorontsov's ENBSeries graphics modification.

Changelog:

Version 2.0

Two separate mods are included in version 2.0 - one for the vanilla game and another for use with graphical mods like NVE-QuantV.

  • Adjusted global illumination and subsurface scattering levels.
  • Tweaked night lighting and brightness for both versions.

The vanilla version features slightly brighter nights with a natural appearance, while the NVE-QuantV version boasts brighter nights and sky lighting, along with improved NPC face shadows and rain reflections on surfaces like cars, light sources, and the player character.
