Project Skynet: Prototype Phase
Skynet is a graphical modification alongside an ongoing roads overhaul mod using Parallax mapping with the original roads textures which have been upscaled and darkened. My aim is to rework the entire City and from there work my way up towards the countryside.
What's Included?
- Street lights now have some new colours and brightness. (Lower set inc for extra FPS)
- Roads now look more better with Parallax textured maps
- Pier has also been given new Parallax textures
- 6 new Timecycles with ENB/REshade configuration
- Mercedes AMG GTC Vehicle

- Added Skyline Lazers and on the Pier
- Fixed AMG GTC modkit
- Added Graphics base game files
Graphical changes:
- Skydome has been edited to allow for better darker skies at night
- Graphics textures have been edited. I've found a way to fix ENB Rain water reflection under vehicles and also added a new Sprite texture
- Grass now has no dither/Stripple for a smoother transition between HD and LOD
- Big thanks to _CP_ for the research at gtaforums
- Fog volume has now been changed from a yellow glow to a white glow at night
- Cloudhats have been removed
- Vehicle wheel water splashes removed.
Installation:
(Please install using a fresh install of GTA5, I do not recommend mixing this with other graphic mods as this could damage your PC)
- place the files/folders that are in ENB settings folder in your game directory
- Place Skynet folder here: mods/update/x64/dlcpacks
- Go to here: Mods/update/update/common/data open dlclist.xml and add this line: dlcpacks:/skynet/
- Replace these files that's in the base game folder but please back up them up before you do:
- clouds.xml gta5/common/data
- graphics.ytd gta5/mods/update/update/x64/textures
- plantsmgr.ytd gta5/x64a/textures
- skydome.ytd gta5/x64a/textures
- vfxfogvolumeinfo.ymt gta5/x64a/data/effects
- visualsettings.dat gta5/mods/update/update/common/data
- weather.xml gta5/mods/update/update/common/data/levels/gta5
- wheelfx.dat gta5/mods/update/update/common/data/effects
Important Notes
Roads are not yet finished but will add more sections on future Updates.
Country Timecycles are only a copy of city timecycles for now. Once I reach the Country I will edit them accordingly. To use the less bright streetlights, replace files which are in Lights.rpf from the folder street lights less brightness.
