TriLakes Community Development 1.1

Featured Building

Description

TriLakes Community Development

This map introduces a larger town/island, built differently than my previous one. It features an airport, a harbor (you can set the harbor door to dynamic movement), two lakes on Alamo (represented by texture rather than actual water), a large town, and more.

Please ensure you follow all instructions, especially regarding loading, and read everything carefully. If you encounter any issues, don't hesitate to ask for clarification.

This map might not be suitable for low-end configurations due to its extensive use of vegetation. However, you can try lowering your in-game graphics settings. It should run fine on other configurations as it loads smoothly on my laptop.

Loading the map will take approximately one minute (depending on your configuration). It's crucial to load the map within the designated location area shown in the second picture. Failure to do so might result in missing objects (sand, river, lake, and road) or even a game crash.

A known bug can occasionally cause object rotation during loading, resulting in objects like feet being underground or rocks from cliffs moving. This issue has been mitigated since my previous island map.

Max Limit Prop

I inadvertently reduced the prop limit from 2040 to 1800, which prevents me from adding more pedestrians, vehicles, and completing the houses. I am currently working on removing elements to stay within the limit and welcome suggestions on what you'd like added or removed.

Improved Rendering

For enhanced rendering, set the "draw distance" in the Map Editor Settings from the default value to 3000. This will allow you to see the island from a high altitude.

Installation:

  1. Step 1.) Working Map Editor Required: You need a functional map editor. (Please refer to troubleshooting on the map editor's page, not here.) You will also need to use the "extendobjectlist" from the map editor as your object list (requires O.S.U).
  2. Step 2.) Object Spawn Unlocker: Use version 1.0 of Object Spawn Unlocker, as version 1.1 is buggy for some users. The required file is included in the download.
  3. Step 3.) Loading the Map: Load the map "tril" in the Map Editor. The loading time will vary depending on your system configuration. Ensure you load the map within the designated area (just above the submerged dirt) as shown in picture 2. Failure to do so may result in crashes or missing objects.

If any objects appear misplaced, please report them with a screenshot, and I will correct them. While I have carefully set the ground texture to match the road texture, the loading process might sometimes alter it.

Remember that I am not responsible for any crashes. These are usually caused by low-end configurations or incorrect loading location. Please don't hesitate to ask me for help if you encounter any issues.

A big thank you to Guadmaz for the awesome Map Editor, and to the GTA Multiplayer team and K3nil for all the objects they have created!

1.1 Changelog

  • Deleted the partially built player house to save props. I plan to create a separate island dedicated to a player house.
  • Replaced some palm trees around the island with olive trees to save props.
  • Added sand and plants to previously bare areas.
  • Increased the number of pedestrians and vehicles (feel free to suggest additions!).
  • Set the harbor door to dynamic movement for user convenience.
  • Improved the harbor and airport slightly.
  • Implemented other minor changes.

Stay tuned for future updates! I am currently working on other projects.
