Create a Paleto Bay Residence (Map Editor)

This guide explains how to install and utilize the Paleto Bay map within the game's map editor.

Installation

  1. Begin by downloading the Paleto Bay files and extracting them.
  2. Locate the Paleto Bay XML file and copy its contents.
  3. Paste the copied content into your game's maps directory (or designated game files).
  4. Launch the game and press F7 to access the map editor.
  5. Within the map editor, select "Load Map" and choose the Paleto Bay file.
  6. The Paleto Bay map will now load at your current location in the game.
  7. Enjoy exploring and interacting with the newly loaded Paleto Bay environment!

Additional Notes

Remember that maps can be saved and loaded in either XML or object.ini format. When loading maps, they will stack on top of each other. Therefore, it is advisable to use the "New Map" option to clear any existing objects before loading a new map. To automate map loading at the start of the game, create a folder named "AutoloadMaps" within your game's scripts directory. Any file ending in ".xml" or ".ini" within this folder will be automatically loaded when you start the game.

Keep in mind that automatically loaded maps will also save with your current map. Therefore, before creating a new map, use "New Map" to ensure a clean slate.
